I've been working on a stripped down rust fork of the PCB Autorouter, Freerouting, using Claude.

On a corpus of 600+ PCBs the current stats are looking ok

* ~7–36× faster
* ~90× less memory
* cleaner boards ~2× as often
* ~12× fewer DRC violations
