The (relatively) new version of Dwarf Fortress is one of those games I could sink a ludicrous number of hours into. Some games with a brutal learning curve just appeal to something weird in me — like EUIV.

My actual take is that in 1918 we should have unironically reverted the map of Europe to the EUIV start date.
I'm being a tad facetious but there is a common angle of discussion with regards to the fall of the continental empires in 1918 which basically amounts to "was it worth it" and while as a tutejszy I am sympathetic to more explicitly antinationalist reads, I also do not know what the alternative was.
