The first election results from Faroe are in! Among the 14 voters in the village of Hattarvík, in the north-eastern island of Fugloy, six went for Fólkaflokkurin (People's Party).

Har varit på båttur till Svinöy och Fuglöy. Typ kollektivtrafiken här ute. Hade velat gå iland, men då hade vi kanske inte hunnit till matchen ikväll. Tur med lugnt väder och bitvis solsken.

Each municipality uses open list proportional representation to elect their council members. For example, Fugloy (49 eligible voters) had five candidates on a single list, three of whom were essentially elected as independents.
