Same, even though aerynos isn't really declarative, it's immutable with very cool stuff on it (like the ability to install stuff without rebooting or to rollback instantly)

But gnomeos is kinda going the declarative route a bit and particleos is cool af

But actually distros like gnomeos that don't have any package manager and can be turned into a custom distro with buildstream is better at nixos than nixos

I had a peek at GnomeOS.

The web says it's for developers, but time ago the main developer wrote a blog post, dreaming of GnomeOS as a regular distro.

I don't see that happening soon, with no way to install CLI apps, not even with something like toolbx or distrobox.

Updates are handled by systemd

Lo que defiendes (seguro y fácil) se parece mucho a la idea de base inmutable + Flatpaks que vienen proponiendo EndlessOS, Fedora Silverblue, SteamOS, GnomeOS...
