Did my first #POTA with #hamstick 's today, operated on 10 and 40 meters from #parksontheair NO-2526 #jærstrendene on both #ssb, #ft8 and #ft4. Longest QSO was Argentina on 10m SSB, not bad for a little piece of wire on the roof of the car

Well, I just downloaded this bad boy from last December's RAC Winter Contest. Did this on 40M, with a Hamstick jammed into the ground in the backyard. All CW.

I have an antenna that I think is a HamStick. I need to put the NanoVNA to work and see what frequencies it will work on.

another day, another #hamradio antenna (can you tell i'm on a kick?)
Built a J pole for 2m/70cm for camping next weekend; didnt have a good antenna and not gonna pay $100.
Old chopped up hamstick, piece of brass rod, piece of all thread. SWR is 1.2 at 146 and 445 MHz, and below 1.5 at band edges.

Phone 20w on 10m from Phoenix Arizona to Japan using G90 and an hamstick antenna on my car. We were both amazed that the contact happened.

I might take a receiver, mount a hamstick to the car and see what reception is like from up near the Observatory! I wonder if the RFI I see at home will cause issues up there as well🤔

But the Royal Parks have been a bit sticky about this. Discussions ongoing.
However there should be no issue with using eg: a hamstick.
