The date is September 11, 2026. The location is North Carolina State University. Description for the workshop: Science teachers are invited to an interactive, one-day professional learning workshop hosted by the National Center for Science Education. Teaching climate change can be challenging: the science is complex, students often enter the classroom with misconceptions, and they continue to encounter climate misinformation outside of school. This workshop will provide teachers with practical, research-informed tools and support for navigating these challenges. Teachers will experience classroom activities from NCSE’s Climate Change in Your Backyard Story Short and DataWISE resources and leave with free, classroom-ready materials they can use with their students. Such a good lesson with y13 today going through exam Qs but using them as jumping off points to revise different topics, check key definitions as well as model exam technique. Any time they couldn’t answer a Q the topic went on their 'I don’t know' list to inform their revision.
