games nowadays are calling NPCs 'AI' more and more, like i'm not facing super-advanced artificial intelligence i'm facing the same junkware enemy computer bots in Age of Empires i've faced a thousand times.

I used to think Duolingo was great - charming UX, quirky presentation, addictive in a good way that encouraged learning. Over time i slowly decided they’re kinda misleading because they will never move your language ability beyond a fairly superficial level.

Now they’re exploitative junkware.

I remember when it was like, windows 8? that tried to roll out "your computer is a tablet now! :-)" and it was met with universal VISCERAL disgust. They rolled it back enough to put the start menu back, but it's still never quite been the same. Also the PILES of junkware lmfao ugh please
