I was eventually persuaded to write Land Beneath the Waves by the thought that being open about the mental and physical health issues I've had over the years, and how nature has helped me cope, might help others. And when my story touches readers, it's all so worth it. #naturewriting #lifewriting

Took my book to Purwell Meadows, the local water meadows in #LandBeneaththeWaves. It's a very special place where I've set my #countrydiary, where otters hunt, watercress grows & linnets roost in their hundreds. The marsh orchids are out, so I read them a watery passage from the book. #booksky
