TANKA
At the library
I check out too many books,
more than I can read —
our libraries, such buffets
of tempting delicacies.

TANKA
Some books are sparklers.
Reading, I pay attention
to each of the sparks
at least as much as the book.
All of the sparks are in me.

APOLOGIES TO ROBERT FROST TANKA
The road less traveled

No one here. Need push, need jack.
Have to walk all the way back.
