I have enough synths now so I don't really get the GAS anymore. Probs will get some modules and eventually fix my MC505 but I'm pretty much happy with my studio now.

There's an MC307/MC505/JX305 software editor I've been using to program patches for the MC307. It apparently only exists in a facebook post and has not been posted elsewhere. I am tempted to just throw it up on archive[.]org so more people can have access to it. It's super helpful.

I have another "vintage" piece that just needs an internal battery and a potentiometer that's just sitting on my shelf for like 5 years because I'm afraid to take it apart. It's this and it's cool as fuck:

I got lucky. 😁 I'm actually going to be paring down soon, because I have worthy trade-in fodder to afford a JP8K/8080, which has been on my bucket list for years. MC505+JP8K= Timeless Electronica.

I prefer her first one Arular with the Roland MC505 sequencer/drum machine - she used the strangest selection of sounds - I started off with one of those as well, back when everything was in one box with plenty of knobs.

リズム隊の音も良いしエフェクターの掛かりも良い
ビームコントローラーがまたいじっててかっこいい
プリセットのフレーズが物凄く勉強になる

ゲインを抑えるとかって使い方するんだけど
もっとアンビエントとかハードテクノ寄りな・・・
掛けすぎてどんな音でも「ペチっ」って音になるくらい強烈なコンプですw
あのEOS B500のバスドラが「ペチっ」て音になったのはびっくりしたw

I got a MC505 that was "junk" grade when I got there for about 50 quid. Worked perfectly fine but had perhaps seen better days :)
