Good lord, Epic really wants to make sure that as little devs as possible move on toe UE6. Full AI integration, changing the programming language to their own new one, and trying to make NFTs a focus? Yeah I'll be sticking with UE4 for the foreseeable future...

Rust is great, but as we move to an agent-driven future the need for tight write/compile/test loops becomes stronger, and Rust's deficiencies become more important.
What *next* language can give 1) memory safety w/out GC, 2) strong generic + defensive programming facilities, 3) fast compilation?

I decided that for this year that I want to move from programming everything in python and move to another language. For some dumb fucking reason, I picked Java. I am now stuck learning java for the year, I'm too stubborn to stop now.
