I'm charmed by the understanding that Scrivener and Omnigraffle aren't equally large simians.

Since switching to using #Linux full time a few years back, I've found great replacements for nearly every MacOS app. The only one I can't seem to quit is OmniGraffle for diagramming. Anyone have any good suggestions? I've a few options, like InkScape and Dia, but nothing so far is quite as good.

Most of my drawing work happens in Figma. But when I need a proper diagram, I fire up OmniGraffle.
Such a beautiful and underrated tool. And *quietly contemplative* — like when I take notes with a nice fountain pen or read the time from an analog watch.

I use freeform more every day. It’s like omnigraffle without all the fuss
I'm fond of Apple's Freeform app and how simple it is (for now) but there is something about the name that is so forgettable. Every time I need it I have to close my eyes and think "wtf is that drawing app called?"

😍 I did the initial sketching in OmniGraffle, then moved on to testing and optimization directly in-engine (Godot). That said, there’s still a lot to do to make the economy truly dynamic and balanced, and I might return to the drawing board now that the rest of the game’s in decent shape.
