Everything's open-source:
COSMIC: github.com/Edreva/COSMIC
EasyDPC: github.com/Edreva/EasyDPC
Demonstrated on two superb open platforms - openFrame (github.com/ImperialColl...) and OpenFlexure (openflexure.org).

I spoke with Richard Bowman and William Wadsworth of the OpenFlexure project today. They have open-sourced methods and softwares to make 3D printed microscopes.

Looking forward to a good collaboration with them.

I think I should travel everywhere with a portable microscope (hi OpenFlexure!) and slides, like a cell biology troubadour.

10 years ago I started to measure Big G at NIST. 8 years ago I left to work on the OpenFlexure Microscope. At NIST measurement continued. The project took many twists and turns over the next 8 years. Finally, it is published!

Frustratingly printables also doesn't (or at least didn't) allow the CERN Open Hardware Licence as an option.
This means OpenFlexure derivatives on there are hared with the wrong license😡

Looks great. We have some assembly tooling in the OpenFlexure project for exploded assemblies. Would love to know if they are useful to others.

My point was that I'd never get one due to the cost implications of needing to be party to a contract in US law. We had UK universities refuse too.
Honestly I don't really need a certificate to say OpenFlexure is open source, it has been built all over the world, the community contribute..

On the prior art point, we have seen OpenFlexure papers cited as prior art limiting the scope of European parents. This implies European patent offices check the academic literature for prior art.

The component library used by OpenFlexure to create diagrams is now online at Wikimedia.

This was never meant to be a closed resource, it just never found its way into the open in full. Or if it did, I couldn't find it today and had to search my own computer!

Took my OpenFlexure Microscope to a demo today. I decided to walk. It's nice to have a project portable enough you can carry it 4km along the Bath Skyline.
