🧪⚒️ Permanent ice caps have been quite rare in geological history. This new study suggests that's because you need to right combination of paleogeography, exposed lithology, and plate tectonic configuration, all working in the same direction to reduce atmospheric CO2, to get into an icehouse.

WAXING GIBBOUS #MOON tonight 95% illuminated to see amazing Lunar #domes, found mostly on the basaltic seas of the Moon. Some of them are small volcanic shield volcanoes like #MonsGruithuisen Gamma. Also #HarbingerMontes is noticeable close to the terminator.

Once improved the orbit using the best astrometric measurements obtained lately by the largest telescopes, the probability of impact of #2024YR4 with Earth decreases to less of 0.2% as predicted by experts. Now uncertainty ellipse is out of Earth's path 😉✌️👌
