Repetition, repetition, repetition… #UrbanTruth
You can expect that we’re going to repeat our messages. For the same reason they repeat their lies.

When it comes to spreading disinformation, dark money buys a lot of repetition, because repetition works.

Repetition works.

Repetition works.

Repetition works.

(Did we mention that repetition works?)

at the risk of repetition: gavin who?
Pritzker: "I refuse to pretend that any of this is normal ... I refuse to fall into the pundit trap that demands we sacrifice vital constitutional rights if it's being done in the fake guise of fighting crime."

You can overcome reality with volume and repetition.
The only reason Republicans have a reputation as "fiscal hawks" is that the press refuses to tell the public basic facts about what they do when they are in office.

It’s not really repetition that gives repetition its greatest power. It’s the way repetition creates a sense that EVERYONE ELSE BELIEVES A THING. That’s why the best repetition isn’t just banging a slogan but having many people express versions of the same idea.
Repeating things is important. I don’t think mariginal trump wore worried about trans rights, but the stupid ad worked. One of their slogans was “Kamala high prices Trump low prices”. The more things get repeated the more it sticks.

Anatomical study. Endless repetition. But I really enjoy it

Just a reminder: propaganda works by pervasive repetition, not logical consistency
I think I’ve mentioned it before but discovering Jacques Ellul’s writing on propaganda as the creation of a totalizing information space where a message is reflected in all mediums and all forms to imply unassailability, as opposed to just “biased messages” was really what clicked for me

Monstrous racist. Still astounds me, even after more than ten years of relentless repetition. Just the worst person imaginable to be president.
Trump: "In Minnesota, it's very Somalia-oriented. These people come from a crooked country, disgusting country, one of the worst countries in the world. They come to our country -- low IQs -- and they rob us blind. Stupid people, and they rob us blind."

Repetition, repetition, repetition 👇
🔎 Misinformation. Disinformation. Malinformation.

Most people confuse them. Most democracies suffer for it.

I’m starting a 10-part thread series to break it all down.

Follow along and protect your mind.

C’est moi qui note "répétition", "répétition" sur les copies de mes élèves, puis qui reçois les corrections de mes bouquins avec écrit "répétition", "répétition".

This sucks, reading to my daughter is an absolute joy. Also you can literally see her language acquisition in real time because she repeats what we read out loud and points out the same things on the page each time too. Repetition repetition repetition, it's cool as hell.
