Ever heard of Neurodigitech?

https://www.neurodigitech.com/

or even used them for one of your publications? It looks like this company is a big fraud:

Brian Wansink ran Cornell's Food and Brand Lab and published some of the most-cited nutrition studies of the 2010s. In 2016 he blogged about a grad student who "rescued" a failed study by slicing the data until something came back significant.

Many scientific papers are tightly-coupled to the code, data, and environments that produced them, and therefore the paper itself fails to provide much standalone value.

Failure to reproduce or replicate is a direct consequence of this coupling.

2.1/2 It's a chronic issue to get reviewers, however, it seems to be that no matter how much one highlights the strength (or flaws tbh) of a finding (novel or even confirmatory #replicationcrisis), another obviously less carrying reviewer can affect the process so that the authors must be confused..

Science Has Too Many Pet Theories, Not Enough Falsification

Science rewards positive findings, but how do we decide what not to keep pursuing? “Fail faster” research models may make science more reliable.

Cutting corners? Outsourcing antibodies?? As a scientific research supply company???

Not worth the risk to objective #science.

How many experiments now need to be re-done or verified? And how many actually WILL be?

#fraud #ReplicationCrisis #RestorePublicTrustInScience
The information provided with this blot makes it clear that they intend you to believe the blot was generated in-house with their own equipment and materials. They also tried to cross-sell their other product lines. Of course, they quite likely bought the antibody from a third party.

Oh dear. Falsification of a validation assay for a scientific research product?

This is not helping the public to trust science.

Is fraud consuming? Perhaps not. Corrosive may be a better descriptor, as well-intended studies harnessing fraudulent work then become fraudulent themselves, to a degree - second-hand fraudulence, if you will. Replication studies are arguably the remedy to this, but the #ReplicationCrisis rages on.

Research retractions have exploded in recent times.

13,000 papers were pulled in 2023—a 10× jump since 2002. But here’s the kicker: AI is now fueling both sides of the arms race: powering paper mills and the tools exposing them.
