Just in case there aren't enough photos of this lovely bird here's my Wryneck photo. Just happened to be walking past Turf Lock, didn't know it was still here - so not really twitching is it?
First I've ever photographed so happy it stayed on and behaved so well.

Wryneck ringed on @northronbirdobs.bsky.social yesterday evening!

It has got to be the best bird I have seen in the hand.

The fantastic Wryneck at Goldcliff Lagoons today 29/09/25. Please can I ask anyone planning a visit to Goldcliff, gives it the respect it deserves as a schedule 1 species. The majority are well behaved, but there's always a few who get too close. Thank you. 🪶 #birdingwales #ukbirding

I haven’t seen a Great Orme Wryneck since Rob Sandham found one on September 26th, 2006. Today, 19 years later, I stumbled across one in exactly the same bush as the last one! Several Goldcrest and Coal Tits on the headland today too. Hopefully kick-starting a good autumn🤞 #ukbirding #birdingwales

Reculver hits a true purple patch with Radde’s Warbler, Richard’s Pipit and Red-breasted Flycatcher, while Dungeness did very well on diversity of finch species which included Serin and Twite. Plus a Shrike at Worth. Full weekly highlights on Kentos.org.uk #kentbirding

A welcome arrival of continental migrants to our Shetland shores over the last couple of days. Several Wrynecks made landfall including this one in the Sumburgh Hotel garden.

Wryneck at Turf lock, Devon. Great to watch it feed (that tongue!) & appreciate how small they are when it flew up into the House Sparrow tree, just before the rain came again

Wonderful self-found suprise today in the form of this wryneck, at Chambers Wall, Reculver. Fair few birds around, but had to scoot for a 10am meeting. #kentbirding #selffoundbirding.
