The central idea of a lot of Blindsight/echopraxia is that qualia and sentience might be maladaptive overall in terms of evolutionary fitness. The central ‘horror’ is that having an ‘I’ is a disadvantage and we just lucked out into humans being an apex species even with it.

I think folks are trying to equate enhanced productivity with cognition, as if greater efficiency implies sentience, without recognizing that WORDS HAVE MEANING and THAT AIN'T HOW SHIT WORKS.

These are math algorithms processing data stolen from humans. there is no sentience and to continue to anthropomophize them is not science, it is blasphemy.
