#sleights
There are in fact a million sleights that break perceived promises that they felt were made to them and fulfilling that through violence is exactly what we see happening through ICE. They get to real-action-role-play and get paid to do it 3/3

of Trump at the correspondents dinner he probably would never have run. Or the tiny sleights perceived by one leader the other considered minor humour. How they affect a relationship and lead to wars that get out of hand. I’m something of a read the room expert. I know what you think or feel before

sleights are still insanely fun to set up in recom. i would not be against this series revisiting this system someday

Very true, something I've noticed is that at least 90% of transformation (especially TGTF) seems to be karmic / ironic punishments, petty revenge for the smallest sleights, or "lol I decided to randomly curse someone". It can feel very cruel, instead of uncaring like here.

I could tell this clash with Axel wasn't him testing me.

For starters, I played defensively, trying to read his 'true' attack style. His 6-hit chained chakram attack could spell trouble — eventually I found a way to dodge roll out of it.

After a certain point, spamming sleights was okay.

At King’s Cross, Alison Brooks’s Cadence translates the brick archways of St. Pancras into a robust residential development, using visual sleights of hand to extend the dialogue between old and new.

Yeah, I hate doing it and I know some are engaged, but I can't take the chance that others w/big platforms aren't aware of this insanity. These mofos have all kinds of sleights of hand on tap that they've been planning for years. They aren't backing down now. [I was a Cassandra way back in 2015...]

I think something that you could do off the bat is have bosses have more enemy cards, the disney bosses could also probably use a revamp in terms of sleights

HECATE Upon the corner of the moon

There hangs a vap’rous drop profound.

I’ll catch it ere it come to ground;

And that, distilled by magic sleights,

Shall raise such artificial sprites

Rearranging consecutive cards in your deck to immediately form sleights with exactly one value over their common attacks is prob something you're already doing

I'm the one saying we should be lifting these people out of these positions. I don't know anything more respectful than helping other people.

Please reread this whole conversation, do away with your imagined sleights. I want to get rid of bad jobs because I know exactly how bad it is first hand.

So there was a third Repliku battle after all... wonder if this is the same on Riku's path? If I remember right, Riku's common bosses are Repliku and Ansem SoD.

Anyway, the strategy here was one similar to Vexen, only this time, spamming sleights seems to work.

After being defeated three times, beating Vexen felt so good.

First go, I wasn't using sleights; it was clear I needed them. Second, I started using sleights, but no strategy whatsoever. And third, I forgot that I had glide, and could evade the worst of his ice needle attack.

I really liked the boss fights in the game for this reason. I feel like it's where the battle system comes together. It's been so long that I can't really offer tips, I just recall putting together sleights on the fly to counter boss attacks.
October 26, 2026 at 9:07 PM
oh but yeah the ideal sliver where you'll get the most enjoyment out of Re:COM imo is when you know enough to just kinda pretend the busted stuff isn't really there, and use a variety of sleights and your regular combos
October 26, 2026 at 4:58 PM
Repliku 2 was far more difficult. He spammed sleights, taking my HP down three quarters. I even thought he'd beat me... the Goofy Tornado move saved my bacon there.

It's one of those sleights of hand that is clearly for the benefit of the speaker rather than anyone they might be saying it to.

Like so many times I've come across people taking stances that the overwhelming majority of trans folks would regard as hostile, yet lash out at being called transphobic.
I actually want to know who "the activist class" is here. Because the demands of, say, Sarah McBride, the most normie trans public figure you could imagine, are absolutely radical by Rowling's or Singal's standards.
so they invent this mythical figure of the trans activist—very radical, very powerful, utterly illiberal—sepeperate from 'ordinary' trans people

they're the ones who went too far, who provoked all of this, left sensible centrists like them no choice but to speak out

I applaud them for taking as big a swing as to make the interquel to a big smash hit game a deck building action game in 2003(!) but yeah they either should‘ve mentioned the deep tech or made it a lot more obvious that a lot of Sleights do long term damage to your abilities in a fight or something
October 26, 2026 at 4:54 PM
Re:chain tries to port the system to 3d but a lot of it just kinda breaks in 3d and a lot of attacks and sleights that work fine in GBA have broken tracking or constantly whiff in re:chain
October 23, 2026 at 6:27 PM
gonna give it a bit cus i can tell the early game’s pretty rough due to the nature of the combat system (you just don’t have that many cards, sleights & cp to work with) but oof
October 25, 2026 at 4:43 AM
saw someone run out of cards in chain of memories in the year of orihime Is 2026

they spammed sleights because they can't read tutorials.
