I used to make a lot of those creaky old man sounds.

Turned out I just had ankylosing spondylitis (hunchback disease).

All I had to do was stop eating affordable foods.

@Ankylosing spondylitis can disrupt the blood–aqueous barrier, causing recurrent anterior uveitis. Treatment: Topical corticosteroids and cycloplegic drops under ophthalmic supervision.

I also have UCTD and ankylosing spondylitis and am losing weight both to protect my mobility, and the inflammation reduction the GLP-1 provides in tandem with my immunosuppressants.

In my case, sitting still is what gets me a flare. Who needs an alarm clock when you've got ankylosing spondylitis?

As well as motion sickness I wonder how physically accessible these devices are? I've got ankylosing spondylitis which means I have limited neck movement, and those with other disabilities would surely struggle to use them too?

I was diagnosed with AS when I was 17, it’s been a hellish journey, as a result I’ve had both my hips replaced, a spinal curvature with scoliosis, fused neck, eye problems. The list goes on… I continue to fight it. Often it gets me down, but I bounce back. I’m an Ankylosing Spondylitis warrior. ❤️😮‍💨

Brucella-Related Spinal Epidural Abscess: A Rare Complication of a Rarely Diagnosed Disease

Brucellosis is a highly prevalent yet underdiagnosed bacterial zoonotic disease in many parts of the world, including the Middle East and Southeast Anatolia in Turkey. In India, the reported incidence is much lower. Skeletal system involvement in brucellosis almost always manifests as peripheral arthritis and spondylitis. Spondylodiskitis with epidural abscess is a very rare and serious disease complication. The aim of presenting this case is to describe a rare complication of brucellosis and to highlight Brucella infection as a rare cause of spinal epidural abscess, particularly in endemic regions. The case of a patient with spondylodiskitis with spinal epidural abscess due to brucellosis is presented. The patient was treated with surgery with complete excision of the abscess, followed by triple drug therapy. Both the brucellosis and the epidural abscess were completely cured at 1 year follow up. Brucellosis can cause spinal epidural abscess, particularly in regions where brucellosis is endemic. Deliberate history taking and specific testing are essential to achieving prompt diagnosis and optimal treatment of this condition, while avoiding severe lifelong complications.
