Towering redwoods point to a blue and partly cloudy sky. The needly foliage is fresh, deep green, the trunks are a rough and darkly shaded chestnut. Sunlight filters down on the lower left to a young, short, lighter green couple of baby redwoods. This hike to see the world’s 16th largest tree was incredibly challenging, but also beautiful and full of memories and insights I will always remember.
