Olesya lifted one of the jars of fish for Mona to see over her shoulder.

“The grocer was putting up these jars right as I walked in. I knew I had to make ukha.”

“Sounds divine. Thank you dearly.”

Just added on YumPlanner: Fish Soup (Ukha) — light, herby, and super comforting. It’s gluten-free, nut-free, and dairy-free, so it’s easy for family dinners. Add it to your plan at yumplanner.org and we’ll build your shopping list. Yum! #newrecipe #mealplanning #glutenfree

Yeah, like @lizoksbooks.bsky.social said, a version of it! I feel like my recipe includes "any form of fish" and "any form of root vegetables" :)) this Wikipedia article gives it additl depth. In my childhood canned fish was used most commonly for the lack of any other...

I'm perfectly willing to believe CVS did what they are accused of, I just also think UKHA did something wrong too. I have no evidence, I just worked for them for 20 years and dislike their leadership lol

Wouldn't be the first time CVS screwed a provider on 340b drugs, so I'd be willing to fully believe UKHA here. Actually, I'm surprised they didn't also sue over CVS's rebate aggregstor Zinc, which also just steals drug rebates.

i wouldn't necessarily believe everything UKHA says, but CVS sucks too. a pox on both their houses.

A Russian soup called Ukha. The broth alone is incredible, so i know for a fact that fish will make it even better!

Put a thread to answer this here: bsky.app/profile/ukha...
I got this question that I thought some might find interesting.

In short, why does the CO2 levels in a hockey arena trend upwards even though it has an upgraded HVAC?
Hey @ukhadds.bsky.social, quick question about arena experience. I sat in the upper part for a Sharks game, 17k people. CO2 at 700 pregame, linearly to 2k at end. SAP Center says it upgraded HVAC to meet CDC/ASHRAE (below). Any idea why CO2 kept going up w/ high ACH?
February 23, 2026 at 9:39 PM
Physical interventions will lead to this. I wrote a thread about a paper that discussed this last year.

In short, the estimate of ACH is rarely accurate everywhere in a built space. The average may be correct, but each location can be wildly different.

bsky.app/profile/ukha...
CO2 monitors have become popular tools people can use to estimate their indoor air quality.

A new study was recently published that looks into how we can use them to optimise occupancy thresholds and identify problem locations.

Actual practical science!!!

I think this post + the 1 below it in thread might answer your question? They seem to offer partial protection from irritation, but N95s alone are not fully protective for aerosol irritants like tear gas, due to the limited protective factor (~95%) + eye/skin irritation.

bsky.app/profile/ukha...
Well then, since it’s an aerosol does this then mean that you can simply wear an N95 mask at a protest and not expect to feel the effects of tear gas?

Unfortunately, no. While the N95 will remove a substantial fraction of the irritant, discomfort will persist.

Dr. Allen Haddrell @ukhadds.bsky.social posted on @bsky.app to debunk @telegraph.co.uk misinterpreting his research published in the Royal Society Journal: bsky.app/profile/ukha... 🧵
One of the reasons why I go so hard on science misinformation/disinformation, is that as a working scientist it is frustrating to see your research misreported to push an agenda.

For example, consider this piece of right-wing propaganda from The Telegraph that was just published

Loads of Thavnairian chai, and lots of any kind of soup or stew she can throw together. But if she's got what she needs, she's making solianka.

If not, ukha works in a pinch.
inspired by my own real life misery (its been -30°c here for days 🥶😭), here's another #wolqotd / #ocqotd:

what's your WoL/OC's go-to food or beverage when it's cold out? soup? chili? spicy food? hot chocolate? piping-hot tea?

tell me what they'll be consuming on those DANG chilly days!

Wow, thanks so much for making sure to go after the nutty nutcases who don’t like the idea of getting sick over and over with a virus we don’t understand. We appreciate it!

Here’s the author of the paper you cited rightly calling your writing “right wing garbage.”

bsky.app/profile/ukha...
I spoke to the people who continue to shape their lives around avoiding Covid and only breathing ‘clean’ air

‘Refusing to mask during an ongoing pandemic is absolutely violent and it’s undeniably participating in social murder.’

I can not stress this enough:

1) The Telegraph misrepresents our paper (“inactivate within an hour”)

2) They claim this discredits the zero-covid community

3) They ignore our much more impactful follow-up article that contradicts their claim
December 21, 2025 at 10:49 PM
To be clear, we do not report what Mattha claims. 95% is not 100%. While most of the virus will be inactivated in an hour, not all. At no point do we say otherwise. To imply that we measured 100% inactivation in an hour is wrong (aka: a lie).

Also, FYI: an hour is a long time.

holy, hell man, have some respect for your profession!

the first author of a paper you cite characterized your piece as misinfo/disinfo on this very site. it’s been nearly a full day now, and no apology, let alone response?

address it! have your rag issue a correction!
