Not the best day when you find a dead slow worm on your plot. It looked punctured, either by an animals teeth, or beak, or a cats claws, etc. This made me quite sad today 😓😔. Buried it over a bed of straw with some apple blossoms. Back to the Earth little one…. #slowworm

Allotment digging and came across two baby Slow Worms ^-^ relocated them to our compost pile (plenty of warmth and bugs). They are actually legless lizards, and use a notched tongue to tell friend from foe! Lovely and good to have in the garden as they like to eat slugs… #slowworm #allotments
