Poor little Donny; he won't have any film cameras around for perhaps the first time since the 1980's when he was calling outlets under a fake name to get them to cover him. I get and support this decision; at the same time, it's a loss because his rapid decline is harder to convey in other media.
Trump Live Updates: White House TV Pool Suspends Trump Coverage After CNN Ban
CNN, MS NOW and Politico sued to regain access to the White House. They argued in a joint statement that President Trump’s decision to block them violates the First Amendment.

@scalzi.com, much-lauded science fiction author and notably straight husband and father, doing ally-ship well (as per usual). Meanwhile, one-hit-wonders reach for any attention their poor deluded souls can get.
(Takes '500 Miles' off the dance playlist)

(And yes, I've put it into DJ sets before, it works)

(But, you know, fuck transphobia and all that)
If you're losing relevance, just try transhobia. Even one-hit wonders are getting in on the action.

Can I get an amen here?
James Talarico: 50 years ago, a corporate lawyer named Lewis Powell circulated a memo around DC — a blueprint for how corporations could amass political power, reverse the gains of the Great Society and the New Deal, and rig the system for themselves.

And it worked.

This saddens me, and I respect @kenwhite.bsky.social's integrity in deciding not to engage here after being suspended merely for refusing to speak more obliquely. God knows I've posted my own champagne dreams...

Now that I'm semi-retired I've decided to start giving blood. I'm very disappointed that @americanredcross.bsky.social includes only "male" and "female" on its health questionnaire. Even as a 60+ ciswoman, I know that doing so is scientifically inaccurate AND insulting to #trans people.

Much as I support anyone who opposes Donny and his thugs, if these allegations are correct (and they seem well documented), Dems need to tell this guy to back out of his race, now.
The details in here are horrifying but needed to be made public. Please take care while reading.
A woman who worked for nearly two years for Rep. Eric Swalwell, a leading candidate for California governor, said she had sexual encounters with him while he was her boss and alleged he twice sexually assaulted her when she was too intoxicated to consent.

This @slate.com article outlines anti-trans hysteria perfectly: "Today, transgender children are no longer discussed as children. They are framed as abstractions, threats, symbols, or proxies for adult grievance." Targeting #trans kids is child abuse.

I can only applaud this thread and rage-cry that it's so perfectly on point.
I think it is OUTRAGEOUS that people are LEAPING to the conclusion that some our post prominent Americans are child rapists when it is EQUALLY PLAUSIBLE that they are simply indifferent to whether other people are child rapists so long as those other people can offer them access to power.

Heirs' property issues are at the heart of Black peoples' massive loss of homes and properties historically and today. A dash of understandable distrust toward the system + family clashes + unscrupulous developers = a huge problem you've probably never heard of.
