Just saw that Taylor Swift just took the top prize at the MTV Music Video Awards for best video. I swear on 1000 Bibles, I still do NOT know how she does it. She is not BAD, but relentlessly mediocre in songwriting, singing, etc.

The US is adopting a strategy of attacking water storage and desalination plants designed to render the region uninhabitable. If continued, this strategy will make the Gulf littoral uninhabitable in the coming decades. Yet there is no discussion of these tactics and their repercussion in the US.

I was thinking this from the first time I saw the ad for the movie. I guess taking Classical Greek in grad school has its perks...
I am once again begging Hollywood to stop using the Greek alphabet for an Ancient World movie, if they can't afford to even throw a couple of quid at anyone with an inkling of the language.

It's funny that the newspapers treat DSA-endorsed candidates like they are Bastille-storming revolutionaries when in reality DSA members are almost comically procedure oriented
