What I found: the Dem numbers in New York City actually look pretty good! Harris was D+38 in 2024, NYC is D+49 in the 2026 Generic Ballot. The issue lies in the rest of New York. Suburbs were even in 2024, D+4 here, and upstate is R+6, when in 2024 it was even.

This man has to watch Trump rallies and news conferences non-stop for his job and it turns out the thing that will break him is Kyler Murray.
I took a friend who hasn’t been to an NFL game in 20 years to the Vikings today, there’s been no touchdowns, and multiple injuries. There’s been a penalty every play too. I asked him if he was having fun and he just looked at me like this.

🧵After all is said and done when we look back at 2026, the story of the election was Republicans starting a domestic war on two fronts, and by doing so they were unable to provide enough resources to stop the bleeding on either side, leading to a complete collapse akin to the loss of 2 Blue Walls.

Sometimes I think I was too quick to tell my people "from a DSA point of view, I think Peña and Bichotte Hermelyn would be the same chair". And then I see this tweet and I feel vindicated
In the Party’s attempt to out maneuver reformers, they neglected to nominate a Chair of the County Committee. That leaves Rep. Nydia Velázquez as the defacto head of the party. A clear sign of things to come 👏🏽 www.nytimes.com/2026/09/26/n...

if AOC is not in the Oval Office in 2029 then she is either the frontrunner to challenge Gillibrand for Senate or Hochul for Governor in 2030, both of which I think are easier than conventional wisdom thinks

1. I appreciate the author's honesty in laying everything out here, I'll remember this article for a while
2. if my mother had the same approach to me as the author had to her daughter, at minimum I wouldn't be talented enough to be where I am personally/politically today, at maximum I'd be homeless

Bensonhurst proves that assimilation works, the Chinese residents are just as evil as the Europeans that lived there before
Bensonhurst is home to a large Chinese American population, and residents say the locations were laid out without warning or input from the community. They contend that the new trees could disrupt the neighborhood's feng shui.

one facet of 2020 that I wish more people would say is, according to most if not all primary polls so far:
- Kamala is the number one left candidate.
- AOC is the number two left candidate.
- Newsom is the number one moderate candidate.
- Pete is the number two moderate candidate.
