My ATW call today involved me telling my case worker WCS don't do power assist ax. Him telling me I need to phone them and check. Me phoning them, they don't do it. Then me phoning ATW twice as I got cut off to ask that my case manager be sent a message that they don't do them. Now I wait.
Absolutely gutted. Was supposed present at the Living & Working with Neurodivergence online conference on the 9th of October, but I've had to pull out as the MRI app I've been waiting for has come through. On the 9th. 😭. It's a lost opportunity & lost income. #DisabilitySky #ChronicIllness

As a disabled therapist and wheelchair user, I get a lot of content around disability on my social media feeds. Today was no different. I was scrolling social media and an article came across me feed. "Wheelchair Warriors Make me feel bad about myself" Julie Burchill The Eyeroll emoji available is not big enough to express my feelings at coming across this article in the i paper with this title.

@transactualuk.bsky.social have created a know your rights guide regarding the unworkable #EHRC guidance. It's not law, no crime is being committed by using a toilet and the responsibility rests solely with the service provider. You can't be asked to prove anything either.

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. Being disabled is expensive,restrictive, & isolating. Those 3 things grind people down. Many disabled people are seen to not be trying hard enough, years of trying to fight for accommodations + access take its toll + people give up. #WheelchairUser #NEISVoid 1/3
