Nothing so heartwarming as seeing children with the freedom to ride London’s streets on a sunny Sunday.

Showing so very clearly the price we pay for the everyday traffic-clogged state of our roads.

🤸🏽 🌱 🚲
It was just amazing yesterday when Kidical Mass arrived in Westminster for the #LondonCyclingFestival.

I spent the day in the heart of London and let me tell you that people are ready for change there. Let’s go.

Sound UP loud for the total vibe of yesterday ✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻

Before we lock more young people into the costs of car use and ownership, surely we should be looking to increase public transport options so no one is forced to own a car to access work, healthcare or the shops?

Charlotte is iconic. (and her bike bus ends a few meters from my flat)
Hear it from Charlotte who leads the Camden Bike Bus. Her testimony of starting a #BikeBus in her community is inspiring !! Learn more about the growing Bike Bus movement at BikeBusWorld.org

We've joined @cleancitiescampaign.org & 14 other orgs to call on @london.gov.uk to tackle #CarSpreading

Read the letter we've co-signed on the thread here callng for higher charges for oversized, dangerous vehicles and more measures to reduce road danger & shift people away from bigger SUVs...
London has committed to eliminating all road deaths and serious injuries by 2041 - but #carspreading is putting that at risk 🚗 ⬆️

Around a third of cars on London’s roads are now larger SUVs, making streets more dangerous, especially for children.

Bikes in Hampstead aren’t exactly a common sight: kids on bikes even less so!
It was beautiful this morning riding down Heath Street to join @kidicalmasslond.bsky.social

Huge thanks to @londoncycling.bsky.social for helping with marshalling, and thanks to all the NW3 participants who came along! 👏

The madness of rat-runs. A friend was taken out by a rat-running Uber driver cutting across Dartmouth Park Hill without looking.

This is one of the unsung advantages of #LTNs, they make boundary roads safer.

He survived, concussion, bruises. Bike written off.

@alastaircampbell2.bsky.social our charity @greenschoolruns.bsky.social operates in NW3 where the school run traffic is horrible thanks to the concentration of schools, mainly private, and large SUVs...you might be familiar with the issue 😷👿🚙

Thanks @therestpolitics.bsky.social for discussing the issue of the loss of independence of children.
@rory-stewart.bsky.social: let's not blame our kids' pedestrian skills, they are learning! Meanwhile, some drivers should definitely know better! 😉 tinyurl.com/yth2jz87 @greenschoolruns.bsky.social

thanks @willnorman.co.uk and TfL for this chance to meet and discuss travel in Camden. Now let's work together for better East-West connections for bus users, pedestrians, and cyclists!
Really glad to have been invited to this TfL roundtable about transport in Camden

Great to hear what’s working well and have an open conversation about what could be better.

Our two main priorities are still the same: more action on school-run traffic and an improved service on the 603 bus!
Absolutely delighted to join @richardolszewski.bsky.social &
@annebclarke.bsky.social and the Camden team on the Big Community Transport Tour.

Great to see amazing work underway on & hear from local community groups about what's working & how we make travel safer, greener & easier for everyone.

Hi everyone - it seems there’s been a targeted campaign against this plan for protected cycle lanes on Bayswater Road. If you look back through the consultation it had 400 negative responses in 24 hours 😨

Quite.
I must of missed the petition for every road junction getting tactile drop kerbs, elimination of bell mouth junctions in urban areas and better policing of the mode of transport that kills an average of 7 pedestrians and maims 104 per week...
Halt hazardous bus stops
Will you sign our petition for safe travel? We're calling for a pause on bus stops that put people with sight loss in harm's way.

Walking buses are such a great way for kids to get to school safely and socially. 🚶👫

With parents or chaperones leading the way, it’s more than just a walk — it’s a community journey.

Less traffic, more fresh air, and happier mornings all around. 💚

Big win for the 603 bus! 🎉
After months of campaigning, TfL will move the second afternoon service to 4pm from 5 January, so students living and studying along the route can finally use it on their way home.
A small change that means fewer car trips, safer journeys, and a better-used route. 😀
