isn't it interesting how often it's people who don't actually *need* to use LLMs that seem push it? the people I have railed against in the last few days are incredibly privileged and comfortable. yet asking for even a smidge of ethical behaviour is purity culture. go fuck yourselves.

Tennessee leadership is complicit in murder and torture and really living those Christian values they like to tout.

Jesus was pretty clear on his stance about immigrants and refugees, folks. This ain't it.

NBC ran a piece where Mary Carrillo went to Norway to find out why they're so good at the Winter Olympics and i was yelling BECAUSE IT'S COLD THERE

then she went to a little tiny ski jump for kids and was like "it's free, equipment is provided, & they don't emphasize results"

and i was like.

“The application asks you what you're working on, then watches everything you do on your Mac desktop—every app you open—and uses AI to analyze what's on your screen. The tool can tell, from context, whether you're using a particular website productively or as a distraction.”

Marsha Blackburn can't read the room. Aligning with Steven Miller and current deportation atrocities doesn't sit well with all voters.

You can do better, Tennessee. You need to do better.
Very illuminating that @MarshaBlackburn thinks tying herself to racist white nationalist Stephen Miller is a good look

Sorry to get radical but I don’t think it’s my job or yours to embrace, accept, understand - and certainly not to use - the thing being sold to us as AI. I don’t like any part of it, so I won’t. I’m missing out? Good, that’s what I want. You’re worried about me missing out? That’s fuckin weird, man.

If you haven't done so yet, time to cancel Paramount plus.
Executives at CBS News made it clear to Late Show host Stephen Colbert: He wasn’t to interview Texas State Representative James Talarico last night.

But Colbert, who only has months left of his tenure on the show after being ousted by Paramount Global, didn’t listen.
CBS didn't want Colbert to talk to this candidate. He did it anyway.
"This is the party that ran against cancel culture," Texas State Representative James Talarico said about the Trump administration

Absolutely no reporters should ever do this because it's so, so easy to do right back to you, as most people constantly hesitate!

This is why the phrase comes up in so many of the things I've written about AI.

AI does three main things:

1) dismantle the institutions necessary for democratic society to thrive

2) transfer wealth upwards

3) create the permission structure for (1) and (2)

I keep bringing up Googleglass because it’s a reminder that widespread opprobrium is still a useful tool. If your friend says he plans on buying them, tell him they are for creeps. If someone shows up to your party with them, ask them to leave. Brand these as a product for losers and pervs.
