Anglophone music cultural history | In my collection of 14,000 pieces full of metadata there's a concentration from 1962 to 1972. As one slice of those years, below is a table listing the release years of studio albums from 1962 to 2023 by Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd.

James Brown was an intellectual property deal maker. From 1965 he owned the copyrights of his audio recordings, usually a record company owned them.

My reading diet aims to build the quality of thought of Cory Doctorow. In 2023 I read his superb 2022 book CHOKEPOINT CAPITALISM, coauthored with Rebecca Giblin, an insightful professor at University of Melbourne Law School. She has deep expertise in music economics and law.
