Don Jr. & Eric have investments in data centers and AI infrastructure.

Don. Jr's firm 1789 Capital also has shares in tech companies working on AI.

Donald's own stock portfolio itself is heavily invested in Big Tech.

It's really good
This is an excellent article by Leif Wetherby - why AI is a cultural technology not a collection of human-like agents (citing our work on this). And why the anthropomorphism is a distraction from the very real risks and dangers and the way to deal with them.

It is critical to separate the questions
1) Is AI technology useful, and how much?
2) Is AI investment a bubble? Will there be a correction?
Two very different issues. Railroad infrastructure was truly transformative, but that industry went through a series of boom-and-bust cycles along the way.

If you need to explain to someone why the ‘Rogue AI’ framing is both wrong and harmful, actually blocking our view of what safety and responsibility requires in AI, this will help:

Fine article! An aspect for ageing societies: AI-powered robots substituting workforce seem attractive for them. But with tax revenue (primarily derived from labor) declining, funding their high social security bill would further be undermined. This would especially raise their need for tax reform.

The size and quality (concentration, uncertain returns) of the AI investment boom only serve to underline the utter folly of the US running persistent fiscal deficits of 6% of GDP.
This is driving up interest rates & inflation, heightening the risk of a reversal and weakening fiscal capacity.

The labor movement has long fought for state legislatures to rein in unregulated AI.

There is still a long way to go to ensure that workers have a say in how AI is developed and used at work, but these bills in California are a critical step forward.

As a tech optimist, I once thought open available information on the web would reduce false information in public discourse.

Well, that did not work out, and I love to think AI could now help uncover misinformation, but my optimism in that regard is much smaller today, even if the tools are there:
1. On Tuesday morning, Trump unveiled America dot gov, which he described as “the ultimate product.”

Right now, it is basically a chatbot that draws data from official government websites.

As a result it is brutally efficient at debunking Trump’s lies.
