We are honored to have been recently featured on @npr.org! New findings using #ABCDStudy data published in @science.org highlight how chronic stress and sleep disruption may shape patterns in developing brains more than researchers previously understood.

Huge thanks to the teams at @umn-midb.bsky.social CDNI and DCAN Labs, @pennlinc.bsky.social‬, the ABCD Study, and the NMIND consortium for making this possible.

ABCD 6.0 and ABCC 3.0 is here! — let’s put them to work.

We tried to tackle these issues using data from the #ABCDstudy (N = 10,500). We focused on two types of adversity (household threat and material deprivation) and four cognitive tasks measuring: inhibition, attention shifting, mental rotation, and processing speed.

Would the results be different in a country with a public childcare, pre-school and elementary school system like Finland, for instance?

Lastly, we leveraged data from multiancestry depression GWAS to test MDD-PRS association with trajectories in the diverse #ABCDstudy. Weak evidence underscores the need for better-powered GWAS in non-European ancestries AND well-phenotyped cohort data from across the globe...

We leveraged data from 14,112 adolescents from the #ABCDstudy and #ALSPAC cohorts with repeated depression measures. We investigated single trait vs. multitrait polygenic risk scores of psychopathology (p-factor) and linked them to adolescent depression trajectories... 📈

We built a tool that allows researchers to explore and contribute to these probabilistic maps. Check out the MIDB Precision Brain Atlas to download the neural network region sets: midbatlas.io. Get individual brain maps from the #ABCDstudy here nda.nih.gov

Leveraging large independent groups (n=~3000 each, balanced for demographics) from the #ABCDstudy, we demonstrate that the probabilistic maps show high between-group reliability (3/8).
