Velvet roll rim - velvet footed pax. Although it has gills, it is a member of the pored #mushroom order Boletales. The stipe as the name suggests is lovely to touch just like soft velvet.

#fungifact 🍄📷 Bei den Röhren von Steinpilz und co. handelt es sich um eine Strategie die Fläche an der die Sporen gebildet werden zu vergrößern. Hier seht ihr wie aus einzelnen verwachsenen Lamellen der "Schwamm" wurde. Alle Pilze im Bild gehören zu den Boletales oder Dickröhrlingsverwandten. 1/2

Strobilomyces strobilaceus, or "old man of the woods" is found solitary or in groups in deciduous or coniferous forests in low mountain ranges. With a 4-10 cm cap it is a small member of the Boletales. Edible, but the taste is bitter and therefore not recommended. #fungifact 🍄📷🦠🧪 #fungifriends

Stalked puffball-in-aspic (Calostoma cinnabarinum). The genus is a real freak show of morphologies and its classification was a bit of a mystery until recently. Mycologiaから論文でました〜🍄日本産ショウロ属🥔の系統解析を行い少なくとも16系統が存在することを明らかにしました。そのうち7種を新種、2種を日本新産種として報告しています。また、ショウロの学名にR. graveolensを使うことを提唱しています。
