All of that!
I would never have known about EDS, Dysautomonia, Craniocervical Instability, among handfuls of other conditions I was diagnosed with at 39: My health issues started before Kindergarten. Responsible "Sickfluencers" actually save lives! 🩵🦓🩵

Hello, You may not know Jennifer Brea was later diagnosed with Craniocervical Instability and after surgery made a full recovery. I reviewed UNREST in 2017 when it came out. Am a writer, have had ME since 1983 post-Coxsackie B4 virus. velo-gubbed-legs.blogspot.com/2017/10/my-t... Thank you.

Thank you!! ♥️ I’m sorry you deal with that too.

It’s now affecting my whole spine. I’ve lost so much feeling. I don’t see how I won’t though, especially if it is craniocervical instability like I’ve suspected. But I don’t know what’s causing the back EMG results so just a lot of questions LOL!

Looking for advice since there’s no specialists in Ontario who know or can treat craniocervical instability : from those who have it, or any professionals who treat them, are there any recommendations for high quality pillows that assist with CCI ?

David emphasizes that #MECFS is a cluster disorder whereby you meet enough criteria you get the label and doesn't necessarily point to specific pathogenicity. (He's not saying it's not pathological, he's saying we don't wholly understand that the pathology for each person is obvious or the same.)

i'm still mad how expensive ketamine treatment for anything is and how hard it is to get any insurance coverage 😤 i could be out here not getting absolutely bodied by my OCD and craniocervical pain anD YET
i had my last neurology appointment (😭) right after my psych appt and god it sucks being broke bc apparently ketamine for pain management is basically done the same frequency style as what u do for ocd, i guess that's just how it is across the board, but it would be an infusion. AND apparently there

Have you ruled out craniocervical instability?

seriously though I would not be at all surprised if I have intracranial pressure issues downstream of my craniocervical instability caused by my EDS

Designed for radiology residents and early-career neuroradiologists, this video provides a practical framework for evaluating high-energy cervical trauma using CT, with a focus on accuracy, pattern recognition, and anatomical clarity.
CT Evaluation of Osseous Trauma at the Craniocervical Junction: A Pattern-Based Overview
ABSTRACT Osseous trauma of the craniocervical junction (CCJ) can present with subtle imaging findings that demand a structured and confident approach to CT interpretation. This video article presents a pattern-based overview of traumatic bony injuries affecting the CCJ, illustrated through multiplanar CT imaging and 3D anatomical models. Common injury types, including craniocervical dissociation, occipital condyle fractures, atlas fractures, odontoid process fractures, and axis spondylolysis are reviewed with emphasis on their appearance in axial, sagittal, and coronal planes. Fracture patterns and alignment abnormalities are reinforced with educational illustrations that complement real CT datasets, helping viewers internalize spatial relationships and diagnostic features. This sort of confirms what I suspected. It is AI but it’s genuinely been better than any doctor I’ve had in the last decade.

I just randomly spit random symptoms at it and it goes “Well actually, that links with this and that and builds a picture.

I can’t do that on command at a doc’s office

New preprint by some big names in #EDS #MECFS #LongCovid #MESpine spaces proposing new framework/spectrum called Neuro-EDS.
(Makes total sense! We all know there’s so much overlap, so should the medical field!)

This mechanical basis stuff is quite complicated too:
This mentions that some doctors are having success rebuilding craniocervical junction integrity with mast cell stabilizers. Something I haven’t tried. (Timestamp 1:24:00) youtu.be/lIK7-mBA7Pc?...

I’m currently getting treatment for #IIH. Nothing to report other than a headache that’s gradually getting better.

The connection to #ME/CFS is so interesting! Another promising and underfunded avenue of research.

Anyone on here with craniocervical instability have any recommendations for pillows? Looking after a disabled family member with a CCI and there’s no dr’s or specialists in the province who are trained in CCI’s so hunting info as best I can to help with what I can.
