In fact, and I think Dr. Taber would agree, creating a community trust that helps small farmers/co-ops buy-out land and turn it into wildland parks is actually part of the solution (see ecodiversity and lower chemical and general soil run-off, among other benefits...with caveats for pest control).

Every Grungler out there: No I'm very cis, I absolutely envision myself as a buff bara guy and very explicitly go to the gym to make that a reality, let me provide ecodiversity in the queer space. Otherwise we're at greater risk for wildfires due to a monoculture.

I often wonder if that’s the reason that North America is still so wild despite everything, while Europe is basically an ecodiversity black hole.

Bamboo and hemp are invasive, especially here on the east coast. Please don't spread this without informing others of the downfall. Bamboo is destroying ecodiversity here in New Jersey.

That is a peña!!!!! A places where some dreams can come true. And I can also spot a small part of an old sofa. There's more ecodiversity inside the cushions of that sofa than in a square mile of the Amazon.

Forests are changing and not in a good way. 🌳 @globalplantgpc’s 96-year census analysis reveals a worrying decline in tree diversity, crucial for healthy ecosystems.
A must-read!

#ForestryResearch #PlantScience #EcoDiversity #JFR #Research
Researchers have review 96 years of forest census data to understand ecological changes. Their study reveals concerning homogenization trends. Meaning forest has become less diverse over time, losing trees that played a critical role in its ecosystem.

TLDR: Removing native species, ecodiversity because apparently CATTLE RANCHERS MOO MOO want access to FEDERAL PUBLIC LAND to graze their carbon footprinty already farm subsidized herds

Ugh I refuse to eat burgers and steak (and drink cow milk) ugh
Good Morning!

Even the bison aren’t safe from Trump.

He plans to remove them from federal lands in Montana. Bison are America’s national mammal, sacred to many Indigenous communities, and one of the greatest conservation success stories in US history.

They, like us, will endure.
Trump to deport hundreds of bison from Montana
The American Prairie Foundation has had its license to graze conservation herds of bison on federal pastures revoked by the Department of the Interior

Need to start an alt where I can discuss the ecodiversity I just discovered within my shower drain without grossing everyone out.

The effects of Brexit are subtle tbh. You don't notice the lack of staff in a hospital if you don't visit one. If people want *change* and you offer them $change, don't be surprised when they vote for it 😫🤦

I would love to have you come visit! For such a small island, it has so much ecodiversity
