In patients aged ≥ 90 years admitted to ICU after elective surgery, frailty was independently associated with:

• increased in-hospital, 1-year & 5-year mortality
• prolonged duration of hospital stay
• reduced likelihood of return to pre-admission residence

We like to say common things are common. But today was my first time seeing Quetiapine induced Akathisia. Important (but difficult) to distinguish between this vs increasing the dose for suspected worsening delirium. #icusky

This should concern everyone. I heard estimates ranging from 11-16M people will lose healthcare. ED are already overwhelmed & on burnout from the COVID pandemic, along w/hospital closures.
