In light of record submission rates and a large volume of AI-generated slop, SocArXiv recently implemented a policy requiring ORCIDs linked in the OSF profile of submitting authors, and narrowing our focus to social science subjects. Today we are taking two more steps:

I wish ORCIDs were more widely used. You can add a secondary email address to your ORCID account, so even if you lose your institutional email, which is the norm rather than then exception, you can still use the same ORCID.

I wish ORCIDs were more widely used. You can add a secondary email address to your ORCID account, so even if you lose your institutional email, which is the norm rather than then exception, you can still use the same ORCID.

Morning Cathy & ORCids. Spectacles still AWOL suspect OH has organised them somewhere strange … daycare for him today. Thought of going to Dorchester but have heard road traffic is bad this week so maybe garden instead. Choir committee this evening, plans for new season - our 60th anniversary!

Morning ORCids. Had a very helpful chat with one of OH’s carers yesterday. She’s a former senior nurse & gave me useful advice about caring for him in future/care homes etc. off to badminton soon then we will probably lurk at home with fans on & curtains drawn. Or camp in a supermarket! ☀️☀️🥵🥵
