Ventilation shutdown plus is a widely used method for depopulating birds during avian influenza outbreaks.

It involves sealing buildings, raising temperatures, and killing animals by heatstroke. Less cruel methods exist, but there is currently no incentive to use them.

I went to get a 3-mo flea pill and my vet didn't want to sell it to me because my dog's annual was 2 weeks overdue. To buy a flea pill. And he had been in multiple times in the last year, so they'd seen him recently. But not for his "annual." ...Something is off now with vets.
