Sure, fireworks are cool, but have you ever tried ringing in the New Year the Kerry way, marching through the village of Annascaul at midnight with flaming sods of turf on pikes

Probably fine. Definitely nothing to do with the far right influence on the protests.

It's the name of the café in Annascaul (and a lovely spot it is, too)

Last night's one dish, no fuss dinner. Oven-baked potato and sweet potato wedges with black and white pudding from Annascaul.

Mad to think most badass Antarctic explorer was born a few miles up the road in Annascaul, #WestKerry. If you don't know about Tom Crean, look him up. And if you get chance to see this amazing show, go! My 3rd time in 25 years, will happily go again!

Inch beach, Inch and “The South Pole inn”, Annascaul. We were there a few weeks ago.

Kerry, the obvious towns are Kenmare, Killarney and Dingle but I’d recommend stopping off in the beautiful village of Annascaul for a pint in the South Pole Inn. An Unsung Hero is a good book to read before a visit to Annascaul.

Sister in law lives in Annascaul near Dingle and Inch Beach, we went for the first time last year and loved it.

The one that *really* shows it up as imperialist adventurism from a fascist junta being South Georgia, to which they had no more claim than the cat. Annascaul has more title than Argentina.

The village of Clochan and Mount Brandon on the Dingle Peninsula – so beautiful. Also the South Pole Inn in Annascaul for the story of Tom Crean, who was with Shackleton on his expedition.

My characters were from Annascaul, Dingle, Kerry and Ballyferriter.

My grandpa born in Annascaul hills above Inch Beach. My grandma born in the gaeltacht foothills of Mt Brandon. Both came to Hungry Hill Springfield MA in 1920s. Me ma’s first cousin took me to her actual birthplace: a four foot lean-to that now houses the sheep. Hit the Lidl in Dingle then explore
