I've seen ABC refer to the Nazi rallies as "anti mass immigration rallies" over and over, exactly what Nazis want labelled as, legitimising them.
In contrast, not once have I heard the Palestine rallies called anti-genocide or anti-colonial. I wonder what that's about 🙄

Look some Nazis were plugged into American culture in a variety of ways, but I don't think Germans (who had their own colonial empire in Africa and committed a genocide there before the Nazis were even invented) needed help from Americans in being racist.
One reason the comparison to Nazis falls short -- the Nazi Party modeled their policies on the Jim Crow American South, even deciding that some of the anti-Black laws went too far. So, comparing white supremacist fascism in the US to the Nazis is to pretend that we didn't do it first.
