For something as relatively common as these, remarkably little is known about them. Thought to be in decline we need to pay more attention to declining “common” species. All from #eastyorks where there are very few records of #slowworm #WorldLizardDay

Anecdotally the smaller animals seem to emerge later than the adults which makes some sense. Pleased to see what is likely a 2023 birth under an cover object. #gardenwild in #EastYorks @ARGroupsUK
