If you've noticed weirdly oversharpened/darkened graphics on your shaders when hiding the UI, it may be caused by iMMERSE: Anti Aliasing [MartysMods_SMAA.fx]
Changing "Edge Detection Type" to "Depth edge detection" fixed it for me

This does something funky on the iPhone if you press and hold. Looks like it confuses the iPhone’s edge detection algorithm for creating stickers and does this fun loop instead.

as a kid you think being a game dev is, like, programming cool alien guns to blow up a goomba's ass or whatever. but in reality they're mostly implementing edge detection algorithms with names like Karovsky-Euler Conic Noise Filter. to blow up a goomba's ass.
