#flavor-in-general
both Paul Ehrlich and Jurgen Habermas passing in one weekend is a real The Old World Is Dying moment for a very, very specific flavor of nerd, a nerd found in the general population at like 10 ppm concentration, and fortunately we all post on this website

I think everyone should be sufficiently critical of ethnonationalism in general to not need a particular flavor of it specified

Yeah, Coke Zero is my preferred caffeine intake. I'm not a huge fan of "bitter" in a general sense, and the point where that flavor profile goes bad for me is a lot earlier than in a lot of other folks.
IIRC, you don't drink coffee at all? Your caffeine of choice is Coke Zero, isn't it?

beyond the general horror a specific point here: they bought Flavor Aid, which was a cheap knock-off of Kool-Aid, as a regular drink for the commune because they were in dire financial straits, then the media transformed it back to Kool-Aid because the brand was better known.
Jonestown is one of the events most wildly misunderstood by pop culture. I try to avoid making "Drank the Kool-Aid" jokes after I learned more.

Also “guilty pleasure” is a term I’m growing to hate. Just call it fun. No need to feel guilty (not really directed at you personally, just in general).

Probably got roots in some form of guilt-laden flavor of Christianity. Or maybe it stems from hyper industrialism/optimization cult.

I love the addition of "Improved! More bacon flavor!"

I like to imagine a board room of flustered General Mills executives in loosened ties and rolled up sleeves, late into the evening, surrounded by piles of opened letters from consumers, slamming fists, "the people want more bacon flavor!"

Every day, food companies are missing the opportunity to General Tso-ify everything. Why can't I buy it in vats at Sam's? Why can't I get it on chips? Why isn't it chicken sandwich flavor at Popeye's?

(And the UK, too!)

But the Russian flavor of that has been: Brain drain, infrastructure loss, possibly as many as one million men with decades of life left to contribute to the nation dead, billions in hardware up in smoke, the general pull-out of western investment, loss of influence/territory.

In general, from a culinary standpoint the larger the fruit the weaker the flavor. You essentially get the same amount of flavor dispersed over a wider area.

Small watermelons > large watermelons
Small strawberries > large strawberries

can’t tell you what is punk, but I can tell you what isn’t punk:

-TERFs/transphobes
-Nazis (original flavor and Red Hats)
-Tories
-Elon
-Racists
-Any of the freaks currently in government
-Government in general tbh
-People punching down

Toasted Coconut Cheerios (2019-2020): These lightly-glazed Cheerios featured a subtle, almost macaroon-esque toasted coconut flavor baked right in. General Mills promised to bring “the sweet, exotic taste of a relaxing tropical getaway right to your breakfast bowl."

In 1968, General Mills rolled out a short-lived, smoky bacon-flavored version of Daisys as well!

Working on a lil me for when ever I do end up streaming. I'm trying to embrace my weight within my appearance in PNGtuber form. Trying to get away from general appeal cute and get more personal flavor. Feedback is welcome, but I do hope you enjoy it.

What's your favorite general science fact? Mine is that cherry and almond flavors originate from the same molecule primarily, benzaldehyde, and concentration effects which flavor is tasted in foods. 🧪🥽

most often lately I've been just listening to lofi during thought intensive activities

prior to that though I was listening to streetcat by flavor foley, and Jamie Paige in general :3
Is there any music you've been enjoying in particular lately? :3

Takk Spiced Beef Drink Mix (1971-1973): A powdered mix for making a savory, rich, spicy beef-flavored drink. Created by General Mills in response to what they saw as a limited market for hot beverages (coffee, tea, and hot chocolate), seeking to provide more options for consumers

I think there’s a lot of medieval fantasy worlds in video games and fiction /in general/ but man does Metaphor’s stand out in a way few do. It has the most original flavor on the setting I’ve seen in ages in a game. Not just in art and design but also in music and writing.

this reads partly like speed-running some of the early lessons in a civic tech arc:

- omg, there's real software development happening!
- omg, these career public servants are smart!

but with a general "I'm here to help fire people more efficiently" flavor that really doesn't go

Anime Fandom being based around watching seasonals and gatcha games in general rewards a flavor of the month sort of approach to what and who gets drawn, people barely watch stuff from pre-2016 now.

Colombo Yogurt (1929-2010): A line of packaged yogurt, among the first ever sold commercially in the U.S, it used traditional Armenian recipes and cooking methods. Bought by General Mills in '93, and phased off store shelves in 2010. A soft-serve frozen version is still available in some areas.

well the irony is those taste more like real blueberries than actual blueberry bagels. I think in general blueberries simply lose their flavor entirely when baked into something.

Y'all know I'm all for digestion in general but there's such an added flavor of making it weird/toony/silly/anything basically non-standard that I *adore* and it's not done enough imo!!!
