A black velveteen hood, gathered at the back, with a fancy frontlet pinned to it. The frontlet is a yard-long piece of silk printed with a regular pattern of red and blue flowers on a black background, to which I have sewn small pearls and silvery beads in the flowers' centers. Commonly worn at the time of Henry VII.

A partlet, a garment to wear over your 16th century gown, made from flea market eyelet fabric lined with black wool and decorated with alternating shiny black and gold sequins A black velveteen bonnet, gathered at the back of the head and falling down the back, lined with white linen. Pinned to it is a frontlet, a decorative strip which hangs in front of the shoulders. The frontlet is gold fabric with a woven diamond pattern, decorated with gold sequins, red beads, and tiny faux pearls, and lined with black wool. This is typical women's headgear of the early Tudor period.

I based 1 on this old hat style so it actually has some basis in history, and it also kinda works. I might combo the halo with a pair of horns. Gonna iterate again later. Wrong century but it's still fun

Probably Heiltsuk (Bella Bella) or Haisla, carved to depict an eagle with gaping beak encircling a humanoid head, the bird's wings framing the hands and body of the diminutive figure, with painted details and inset abalone shell accents, pierced through the back panel for attachment to a larger headdress.

Carved crest frontlet of red cedar with black and red paint applied to features. Crest design is totemic in nature. Design suggests the legend of the raven and the whale. At the top of the crest is a bird (raven possibly), with a haliotis-rayed sun-like background, emerging from or being swallowed by a whale. At the bottom is the head of a human being (or spirit possibly). Condition: very good.

Chocolate is great but I have to vote for #Chrysocolla, which has appeared in art since antiquity as a gem, as a “glue” as solder for goldsmithing and as a pigment.

Wall painting, cave of musician, Kizil, 600-650 AD. Intense blues in the Kizil Caves in China have been shown to use Chrysocolla as a pigment. The Buddhist murals shows a Bodhisattva in blue skirt and with blue hair holding a sword on his neck, with draped green scarf, next to a woman in blue kneeling holding a child. There’s a shrub with white blossoms behind them. “ scene of the wall paintings ( Deposition from the cross , on the southern wall). The faux marble dado with geometric motifs is seen in the lower part. 2/7 The first section was on the three photos with the knotted tree background, one identified as in Chicago. The two photos in this section have as background a painted tree with a fence on the left, buildings in the distance. The child in the photo numbered 2315 is identified. See ALTs.
As with the last photo in the first section, the donkey has the basket on its neck and the numbers are afixed to the basket. The numbers read 2315. The basket holds, among other things, a doll and a toy drum smaller than a toy drum that was in the 891 photo of the prior section. The Santa still has a hat with a wide white band, and appears to be wearing a jacket with the same white frontlet as the Santa in the photo numbered 891. The rear of this photo postcard had the name Stanley Hamberg written on it. I've found that Stanley Hamberg, born in Illinois in 1911, was living in Oak Park in 1920, so this is our second Chicago match. His parents were from Sweden. It's hard to guess his age but he's a slightly older youth, blond, old enough that he appears to be wearing long pants rather than knickers. The second tree with fence Santa photo. The numbers on the donkey's basket read 3679. The basket holds the same doll as in the Stanley Hamberg photo. Two girls are on the donkey. The younger one, up front, has shoes with spats. An older girl sits behind her. Their caps are the same or much the same. The Santa attire is the same as in the Stanley photo with the exception that he wears strings of bells. This is the only photo I've seen with the bells.
