I have LQTS Type 1... My Dad did (likely what killed his Dad) my brother has it, all 4 of my boys inherited it... thankfully ours is pretty controllable with knowledge, medication and awareness to make lifestyle changes or activity decisions.

yeah, I at least don't have congenital LQTS, and don't formally have acquired LQTS, but my QTc interval is a *little* bit up there these days (can be 460-470ms at times) and I look forward to a day I could reduce my famotidine somewhat

Yeah similar very high risk secondary prevention patients.
Recently a patient with LQTS and multiple appropriate shocks (most recently in June). Lead impedance too high and cannot guarantee effective defib. But patient getting chemo for acute leukemia. Disabled ICD and added wearable defibrillator.

I am pleased to share this @ahajournals.bsky.social CircGen paper. It is a team effort. I hope we have provided valuable insights on how KCNH2 variant that alters splicing and causes a large in-frame deletion can lead to a dominant negative effect of Kv11.1 K+ #ionchannel function.
Finally, we can take advantage of the generative aspects of the VAE by averaging neighbor traits and decode this to predict candidate trait/disease gene. Essentially, transferring information from related traits. We explore this in mode detail for heart rhythm disorder - Long QT Syndrome (LQTS).

This is disappointing. I have congenital LQTS type 1, and I’m not risking additional COVID-19 infection. After watching friends & family suffer cardiac events/stroke (or burying them) after COVID-19, I’m also not risking harming others.
