To review, I’m working on three books at once.

THE PEOPLE’S PROJECT, an anthology — forthcoming Fall 2025

HOME OUT THERE, a memoir — forthcoming 2026

deathbeds, a poetry collection —
forthcoming 2027
Like so many of you, my friend @maggiesmithpoet.bsky.social and I have been having a conversation about this country’s future.

Now we’re turning our dialogue into a book featuring poems and essays from Marlon James, Alexander Chee, Ashley C. Ford, Chase Strangio, Imani Perry and more!

This is the most vulnerable thing I've ever done. I've published my first poetry collection: The Sweetening.

DENIZENS OF BLUESKY:

I’m in the process of writing a memoir called HOME OUT THERE and a poetry collection [with a cool title you dweebs don’t deserve to know yet.]

@jennyxu.bsky.social, the brilliant editor of both books, is finally ready to skeet and skoot.

WELCOME HER!!!!!

Memoir isn’t just about telling a story—it’s about finding the right details, the moments that linger, the physical facts of a person or place.

That’s why I open my memoir workshop with poetry. Poems force us to slow down and notice. Here are some that I use—and why they matter for memoir. /1

Hello, my first post! I'm the writer Richard Price, with poetry collections which include Lucky Day and Late Gifts, and the novella The Island, which will be reissued this year in April. I'm also writing a memoir of the British Library where I worked as a curator of contemporary British books.

Have some fun news hitting soon, which has me thinking of the ol’ “agents don’t work on poetry” statement I hear all the time.

Last week an agent pal gave me a collection she worked on. Another did a verse memoir. I’ve sold four verse novels and [find out tomorrow!].

Agents DO work on poetry.

Belfast was spoiled for brilliant women writers this evening. Launch of Sinéad Morrissey’s memoir Among Communist, then an excellent lecture on loneliness and poetry by Ireland Professor of Poetry, Vona Groarke. Starting the weekend with big thoughts.

i'm betting on sunsets... in frozen night air... waiting on empty... it's the hardest part... so i inhale moonlight... exhale broken-everything... my heart's still beating... i'm doing alright...

Every book in every genre should feature scary giant sort of divine psychedelic-producing worms (that you can maybe ride but that also eat vehicles and factories and suchlike). Yes they have to be giant. No you don't get a pass for poetry or memoir or whatever.
I feel like we need some *innocuous* bookish drama to distract us from the other horrors.

Whaddya got?

A small detail about my work: I’ve published two poetry collections and one memoir thus far. In all three books, the forest appears at some point. It’s a space of transformation. It’s a nod to the woods near the apartment complex I grew up in back in Lewisville, TX. Nature is a part of my nature.
