Voluntary, conscious and consensual? Why would the university have imposed any punishment then? Clearly the university did not agree with THAT assessment. People don't get expelled for that. They don't even have to "write essays" (eye roll) for that.

Tabletop game systems have systems rhetoric and procedural rhetoric. When you write even something as simple and basic as a d20 as making an attack roll you've made an inherently ideological statement about the world. That means your design is open to being analyzed as literature.

I personally think there should be an option when you roll up to urgent care where you can write what you suspect your diagnosis is on a little paper before the doctor sees you and if you’re right you get a sticker

It was really a marketing coup to roll out a chatbot that can plagiarize at a community college level and get pundits to write about it like it's Skynet.
The biggest mistake we've made is to use the word "intelligence" to describe what are basically large-scale pattern-recognition and -reproduction tools. And from there, all the anthropomorphic language describing them grows, but also suggests they do more than what they're designed to do.

I mean, I can write more than my usual 2k - 3k a day if I'm on a roll, or if I'm close to finishing a book and I just want to be done. But honestly, I'm 54 now and after about four hours of writing my brain usually needs a break. Thinking for hours on the level required to write fiction is hard.
Until you said this one time at the other place, I was sure writers just wrote willy-nilly. Hither and yon. Widdershins.

I mean, I can write more than my usual 2k - 3k a day if I'm on a roll, or if I'm close to finishing a book and I just want to be done. But honestly, I'm 54 now and after about four hours of writing my brain usually needs a break. Thinking for hours on the level required to write fiction is hard.
Actual advice that sounds obvious but isn't- enjoy words and sentences and their rhythms and tones and sounds and what they feel like next to one another. I write a lot of run-on sentences just bc I like how they flow and roll and set up tempos and friction and it's all highly enjoyable. Probably.
