No other retailer of root vegetables in Wülferhampton can offer better prices or higher quality goods than everyone's favourite monopoly rootveg seller. Our motto is "Rooty's veg is the best in town. Probably"

Don't forget that Granny Rootveg has a wonderful range of "herbal elixirs"

I suggest an MRI*

Come on round to þe Newe Crawlinge Bastarde, very good-ish food* and reasonable-ish priced rootveg-based alcohol 24/7

I doubt if our mighty Lord @wulfhelm.bsky.social , may his lovely cornflower-blue eyes never fade, would hurl turnips himself. He has affairs of state to deal with. He may authorise the hurling of turnips, provided they are purchased from the official rootveg supplier (me) [He gets a 10% tithe]

Well, the last person to take on Other Granny Rootveg now needs crutches to get around and only has one eye, so I’ll avoid that confrontation. Instead, I was thinking of opening a curry tavern. Just think - Turnip Biryani, Turnip Tikka Masala, Saag Turnip, Turnip Vindaloo. Endless possibilities!

Good idea. Obviously selling the actual turnips is a complete no-no, but you could set up a small business selling processed turnips and ready meals - if you think you can beat Other Granny Rootveg in a kitchen-knife fight.

And about as attractive as one of Rootveg Serf’s turnips

Rootveg is off to a flying start

Let's hear about your mangled wurzles

I've decided that RootVeg Enterprises Ltd is going to try and delink from using services owned or managed by those dodgy folk in Vinland. I suspect it won't be easy, but little steps...

Stage 1 is moving away from using Google. I've opened a pro Proton a/c (Swiss) and am now migrating everything

I've not seen this 'advert' to which they refer, but it sounds as if someone called Johnlewiserf has moved to Wülferhampton and is trying to muscle in on my rootveg trading monopoly. This will not end well*

* for Johnlewiserf

He didn’t develop that iron grip on his seax by accident Mr Rootveg 😁

Remind me to ask the Rootveg Serf for some Radishes to test out on him, then.

Given the amount of beets, carrots, potatoes, and parsnips we eat, we must be putting The Rootveg Serf's children through Cathedral School or something.

Papal news update

And in a surprising development, yesterday's expected victory for Pope Brassica I (Cardinal Rootveg) in the Papal elections for the Mercian Schism, was blown away when the Cardinal went for a latrine break. He came back to discover that his faithful scribe Minkie was now Pope!

How did the ancient Greeks and Romans ate turnip? And what was the position of this vegetable at the dinner table? How important was it?

Rosey and I are experimenting with some new crust recipes, and this is today’s experiment. Batch of venison, and a batch of veg. Doesn’t look pretty, but smell fabulous. #pasty #venison #rootveg #cornish #yooper

Perhaps we can pay that filthy Rat for LCM assisting RootVeg & GrannyRooty with sorting their vegetables.

One always has to ask what a free pen costs, ultimately. Your soul? That's not a good exchange rate.

Compare that with the over 50s Life Plan from Rootveg Mutual Life which gives you a 50 groat giftcard for the Rootveg'R'We stall on completion of paying 50 years premiums.

I don't know why you lot complain about the price* of Granny R's various rootveg-based distillations. Just saw the attached bill for whisky from a hotel in Braemar. Someone's making a fortune - the Balvenie 50yo is only £32k for a whole bottle. Thoughts @macanultaigh.bsky.social ?
