The fact that Musk himself is sponsoring so many of the anti-trans ads this cycle presents a pretty golden opportunity for Dems to point out that of course the guy who literally wants to build a gas-powered data center in your backyard wants this election to be about trans people.

Taxpayers paid 34 billion to Bob Kraft for stadiums. Why are we paying him for that?

We could pool our tax dollars and own our own. Fuck them.

The Republican position is to take all rights away from trans people. This is not something you can "compromise" with. The compromise is to take some rights away from trans people.

Do not ask why trans people will not vote for any Dem who is talking about this "compromise".

Bernie Sanders appearing with Steve Bannon is a bad look but it’s been clear he’s considered finding common ground with the type of people who listen to or admire Steve Bannon as critical to his political project.

I’m a Texan trans kid who almost died because of Ken Paxton. The world should know what he’s done.

This was very difficult for me to write, but given what's at stake, I cannot bear to stay silent about what I went through at Paxton's hands.

He must not be rewarded for what he's done to trans kids.

Regardless of Talarico’s recent statements on trans people, Paxton cannot be rewarded for the extreme suffering he’s inflicted on me and tens of thousands of Texan trans kids.

Maybe white voters shouldn't have dismissed black people when they criticized him for holding out a gun against a black jogger.
John Fetterman is a piece of shit but he successfully scammed his way into what has to be one of the sweetest gigs going. Senator salary, you tell your voters to fuck off and have your staff run your errands. Jump into a zoom call a couple times a week

the thing about the blatantly racist attacks on Mamdani is that they people leading it are quite deliberate and intentional in their racism here: if Mamdani DID acquiesce, he'd also be the Muslim Mayor who snubbed the victims by skipping the memorial. They're trying to set a no-win trap for him.

Every single person who spent more than a few hours in American concentration camps will be owed restitution. I think a concentration camp stay conferring automatic permanent legal status is a good starting point, and the least of what these people deserve.
If we get to the justice and reparations phase and I hand over all my data and y’all decide we’re only gonna bring the people with no convictions back, I’m gonna be so fucking pissed, I cannot even tell you.

People love saying Trump has dementia but no he is just brazenly lying and he is being enabled by everyone the same we he always has during his entire tenure in public life & ascribing a degenerative cognitive disease to this stuff only further enables him by removing agency from him & his handlers.

worth tying this into the political economy of the slave south as well. from roughly the 1820s onwards, slavery became enormously lucrative in ways that had never been seen before. slave traders became millionaires. large planters had tremendous purchasing power. just huge amounts of wealth.
Antebellum politics is fascinating, the South kept getting policy concessions and whipped themselves up into a paranoid rage anyway, essentially because they couldn't stand being culturally judged for having slaves
