I have a hard time imagining any significant US AI regulation while Trump is president, but in the meantime people can discuss the possibilities and have things ready for 2029.
if only ... it's just a subskeet about recent legislation to stop "AI superintelligence" ... which is not a thing. and won't do anything to stop data centers or other real-life consequences of rampant AI development.

We've already seen that the recent calls by AI industry leaders to ‘pace the frontier’ are insufficient, and their suggestions that we must weaken antitrust protections in order to confront the AI threat are transparently self-serving.
